A bit about Ewetree Cakes
EweTree began in the summer of 2008 as a family focused enterprise to produce high quality cakes, cookies and puddings from home in the beautiful Wiltshire countryside.
Only top quality, natural ingredients are used, sourced locally where possible. The free-range eggs come from our own hens, and when they are too busy scratching about in the woods to lay enough eggs, we call upon the farm down the road. The butter we use comes from Somerset and organic flour is collected direct from the mill in Shaftesbury.
All cakes are hand made to order in small batches to ensure freshness and a delicious home-baked taste. Everything we produce is truly homemade in the family kitchen.
Award winning cakes
Our cakes became award winning in 2010 as our Sticky Carrot and Stem Ginger Cake not only won a gold award, but also “Best of Sweet Bakery” at the Taste of the West awards. Our Olde Fashioned Christmas Cake also picked up a silver award.
Our Sticky Carrot and Stem Ginger Cake went on to win a coveted 2 gold stars in the 2011 Great Taste Awards. Paradise Slice, Ultimate Feel Good Cake and Luxury Fruit Cake were also awarded Gold, Silver and Bronze respectively at the 2011 Taste of the West awards.
